First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether applying ice to the neck before Botox injections can reduce pain for people with spasmodic dysphonia, a chronic voice disorder. 116 adults who get regular Botox injections for their voice spasms took part. They filled out pain questionnaires right after the procedure to see if the ice helped.
