First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested if applying an ice compress to the neck before Botox injections can reduce pain for people with spasmodic dysphonia, a chronic voice disorder. 116 adults receiving Botox injections in the larynx completed pain questionnaires right after the procedure. The goal was to see if the ice made the injections more tolerable.
