Pain education may boost memory in chronic pain patients

NCT ID NCT07252596

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a short lesson about how pain works (called Pain Neuroscience Education) can improve memory and change how people with chronic pain sense their body. About 50 adults with pain lasting over a year will take memory tests and draw where they feel pain before and after the lesson. The goal is to see if this simple education can help with thinking and body awareness, not just pain itself.
