New training helps dementia patients and caregivers tackle chronic pain together

Summary

This study tests a program that teaches family caregivers how to help their loved ones with mild to moderate dementia manage chronic pain. Researchers will work with 60 people (30 patients and their caregivers) to see if the training improves pain coping and quality of life. The goal is to develop a practical, home-based approach that reduces pain's impact on daily activities.
