NCT ID NCT07614802

First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests if adding a common anti-inflammatory drug (dexamethasone) to a long-lasting numbing medicine (liposomal bupivacaine) can make pain relief last longer after shoulder surgery. About 80 adults having shoulder surgery with a nerve block will be randomly assigned to get either the numbing medicine alone or the combo. Researchers will call participants daily to see when feeling returns and track pain, opioid use, and side effects.
