First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested two different nerve blocks to see which one provides better pain relief after laparoscopic kidney removal. 70 adults having kidney surgery received either an erector spinae plane block or a subcostal transversus abdominis plane block. The main goal was to measure how much morphine they needed in the first 6 and 24 hours after surgery.
