Summary

This study compared two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—erector spinae plane block (ESPB) and quadratus lumborum block (QLB)—for pain control after laparoscopic kidney removal. Sixty-two adults having a donor nephrectomy were randomly assigned to receive one of the blocks. The main goal was to measure total opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
