NCT ID NCT04223050
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study aimed to find the safest oxygen level for people with COPD who are hospitalized due to a sudden worsening of symptoms. Researchers compared giving enough oxygen to reach 88-92% saturation versus over 94% saturation, to see which reduced deaths within 30 days. The trial was stopped early after enrolling only 23 participants, so results are limited.
