Summary
This study looked at how giving more or less oxygen during laparoscopic lower abdominal surgery affects stress and inflammation in the body. 76 adults having planned surgery were randomly assigned to receive either normal oxygen or extra oxygen during the procedure. Researchers measured various markers in the blood to see how the lungs, blood vessels, and immune system responded.
