This study measured how giving higher or normal oxygen levels during laparoscopic lower abdominal surgery affects certain substances in the blood related to lung stress, inflammation, and blood vessel health. 76 adults took part, and researchers compared the two oxygen strategies. The goal was to understand biological effects, not to treat a disease.
