First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a special camera that measures oxygen levels in the bowel during colorectal surgery. About 52 adults having laparoscopic surgery for colon cancer or diverticulitis will take part. The goal is to see if this imaging can help doctors find areas with poor blood flow, which may reduce the risk of leaks where the bowel is reconnected.
