First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested two drugs, oxycodone and levodopa, against a placebo to see if they could reduce nerve pain caused by Parkinson's disease. 67 people with Parkinson's and chronic nerve pain took one of the three treatments for 10 weeks, in addition to their usual Parkinson's medications. The main goal was to measure changes in average pain intensity.
