Summary

This study tests a new approach to preventing drug overdoses. People who use opioids will be trained as peer educators to teach their friends and family how to recognize and respond to an overdose. The goal is to see if this training reduces the number of overdoses and stigma in the community. The study will involve 600 participants in the Baltimore area.
