New program aims to stop overdose deaths among women released from jail
NCT ID NCT07179614
Summary
This study tests different support programs to prevent drug overdoses in women with opioid or stimulant use disorders as they transition from jail back to rural communities. Researchers will compare recovery coaching alone versus coaching combined with support from a personal contact or financial incentives for staying drug-free. The goal is to find the most effective way to reduce overdose risk and help women enter and stay in treatment during this vulnerable period.
