First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a new tumor marker (HE4) and using special scoring systems (ROMA and RMI) can better tell the difference between harmless ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. Researchers measured CA125 and HE4 levels in 221 women scheduled for ovarian cyst surgery. The goal was to improve early diagnosis and reduce uncertainty.
