Doctors test glowing dye to guide ovarian cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT04051502

Summary

This study tested whether a special green dye could help surgeons see the first lymph nodes that ovarian cancer might spread to. Researchers injected the dye into the ovaries of 48 women undergoing surgery for an ovarian mass. They used a special camera to see if the dye traveled to and highlighted specific lymph nodes, aiming to improve surgical mapping.
