Quick quiz vs. gold standard: can a simple score replace bone scans for men?
NCT ID NCT07518212
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study checks whether two easy-to-use risk tools (OST and MORES) can accurately predict osteoporosis in Turkish men aged 50-75, compared to the standard DEXA bone density scan. Researchers will enroll 140 men to see how sensitive and specific these questionnaires are for spotting weak bones early. The goal is to find a simpler, cheaper way to screen for osteoporosis in men without needing a full hospital scan.
