Osteopathic touch may ease digital eye strain in desk workers

NCT ID NCT07452679

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding osteopathic manual therapy to standard vision exercises can further reduce symptoms like eye strain, blurred vision, and headaches in adults who work on screens. One hundred participants with binocular vision problems will be randomly assigned to vision therapy alone, vision therapy plus real osteopathy, or vision therapy plus a sham (fake) osteopathy session. The goal is to see if the combination improves eye movement speed, accuracy, and symptom scores better than vision therapy alone.
