Hands-On treatment targets Pain's hidden toll on the mind
NCT ID NCT04058431
Summary
This study is testing whether osteopathic manipulative treatment (a hands-on therapy) can improve both pain and the cognitive problems that often come with it, like trouble with memory and concentration. Researchers are enrolling 100 adults aged 40+ who have pain and report thinking problems because of it. They will measure changes in pain levels, cognitive test scores, and certain inflammation markers in saliva to see if the treatment helps.
