First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at over 288,000 people with hip or knee osteoarthritis to learn what factors affect their long-term health. Researchers tracked who eventually needed joint replacement surgery and examined how things like education, income, and other health problems played a role. The goal was to better predict who will do well with exercise and education alone, and who might need surgery later.
