Scientists hunt for early warning signs of arthritis in joint fluid

This study aims to collect and analyze fluid from shoulder, hip, and knee joints to find biological markers that signal the earliest stages of osteoarthritis. Researchers hope these markers will help identify people at risk before symptoms appear, allowing for earlier intervention. The study involves 149 adults who are already scheduled for joint surgery, and focuses on building a sample collection for future research rather than testing a specific treatment.
