AI reads chest x-rays to spot hidden bone loss
NCT ID NCT07421713
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests an artificial intelligence software called Osteo Signal that looks at chest X-rays to find signs of osteoporosis or osteopenia in adults aged 50 and older. The researchers will compare the AI's results to the standard DXA bone density scan using past medical images from about 595 people. If accurate, this could help doctors catch bone loss earlier without extra tests.
