New hope for rare lung cancer mutations: targeted pill after surgery

Summary

This study tests the drug osimertinib in people with non-small cell lung cancer that has certain uncommon gene changes (EGFR mutations). Participants take the pill after their tumor is completely removed by surgery. The goal is to see if the drug helps keep the cancer from coming back. About 51 adults will take part in this phase 2 trial.
