Leg cast vs. sports rest: which helps teens with knee pain get back to play?
NCT ID NCT02824172
Summary
This study compared two common treatments for Osgood Schlatter disease, a painful knee condition in active, growing teenagers. Researchers tested whether putting the leg in a cast or simply stopping sports activity was better for recovery. They followed 72 adolescents aged 9-15 to see which group could return to sports sooner and with less pain.
