Eye socket breakthrough: doctors test two fixes for facial fractures
NCT ID NCT07340879
Summary
This study compared two ways to surgically repair a broken eye socket (orbital floor fracture). 80 patients with this injury were randomly assigned to have their socket rebuilt using either a titanium mesh implant or a piece of their own hip bone. The goal was to see which method better restored normal eye position and movement, and improved double vision.
