NCT ID NCT06736899

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a special device (orbital atherectomy) to grind down calcium deposits before placing a stent is better than the standard balloon method. About 200 adults with hardened heart arteries will be randomly assigned to one of the two approaches. The goal is to see which method leads to better stent placement and fewer heart problems over time.
