Summary
This study tested a daily 25 mg semaglutide pill in 307 adults with overweight or obesity over 64 weeks. Participants taking the drug lost more weight than those on placebo, with many achieving at least 5% body weight reduction. The pill offers a convenient alternative to injections for weight management.
