Summary

This study tested an oral medication called RZ402 for diabetic macular edema, a common cause of vision loss in people with diabetes. 94 participants with mild to moderate eye changes were randomly assigned to receive either RZ402 or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in retinal thickness and vision to see if the oral treatment was safe and effective compared to the placebo.
