Summary

This study tests whether giving a nutritional drink to patients who are malnourished before hip or knee replacement surgery can improve their blood markers of nutrition. The study will enroll 72 adults aged 55 to 95 who are scheduled for joint replacement. Researchers will measure key blood proteins before and after surgery to see if the drink helps.
