Hair loss pill for women? new trial tests oral minoxidil

Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests whether a daily 1 mg minoxidil pill works as well as the standard topical minoxidil solution for women with hormone-related hair loss. About 520 women will be randomly assigned to receive the oral pill, the topical solution, or a placebo for up to 36 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in hair density and monitor safety.
