Summary
This study tested whether teaching patients about proper oral care can prevent mouth sores caused by radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. 150 patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or extra oral health education. The main goal was to see if the education reduced the number of patients who developed mouth sores.
