Scientists track mouth bacteria to predict cancer treatment success
NCT ID NCT07111455
Summary
This study aims to understand how mouth bacteria change when patients with advanced oral cancer receive combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy before surgery. Researchers will follow 32 patients to see if these bacterial changes can predict how well the treatment works and how long patients survive. The goal is to gather knowledge that might help improve future cancer treatments, not to test a new therapy directly.
