Could your mouth bacteria hold the key to better heart health and fitness?
NCT ID NCT06009276
Summary
This study aims to understand the connections between a person's fitness level, the bacteria in their mouth, and how well blood flows to their muscles. Researchers are recruiting 70 adults, including those with heart conditions, obesity, and healthy individuals, to see if fitness impacts mouth bacteria and blood circulation. Participants will provide mouth swabs, saliva samples, complete a bike test, and drink a small amount of beetroot juice to help researchers measure these relationships.
