Major trial tests if common antibiotics can fight serious bone infections
NCT ID NCT07266753
Summary
This study compares two types of oral antibiotics to treat bone infections in the leg and foot. Researchers want to see if beta-lactam antibiotics (like penicillin-related drugs) work as well as non-beta-lactam antibiotics for these difficult infections. The trial will first check if enough patients can participate, then expand to get a clear answer about which antibiotic class is more effective.
