New pill cocktails aim to keep blood cancer at bay

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing several combinations of oral medications to help keep acute myeloid leukemia (AML) from returning in patients who have achieved remission. The study aims to find the safest and most effective drug regimen to use as long-term maintenance therapy. It is for adults with AML who have responded to initial chemotherapy but are not candidates for a stem cell transplant.
