Can a milder chemo beat the standard for brain lymphoma?
NCT ID NCT04931368
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether a less intense chemotherapy regimen works better than the standard treatment for people newly diagnosed with primary CNS lymphoma, a rare brain cancer. About 331 adults aged 18-70 will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard MATRix protocol or a de-escalated version. The goal is to see if the gentler approach improves how long patients stay free of events like progression or treatment failure, while potentially reducing side effects.
