New hope for heart failure: drug may boost Life-Saving treatment

NCT ID NCT07576257

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests if a drug called sodium zirconium cyclosilicate (SZC) can help people with heart failure stay on higher, more effective doses of a standard medication (MRA). About 110 adults over 70 with heart failure will take SZC or a placebo for 6 months. The goal is to see if SZC allows more patients to maintain the higher MRA dose, potentially improving heart failure control.
