First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how doctors diagnose serious eye infections like endophthalmitis and corneal abscesses. Researchers will compare standard lab tests with newer techniques, including genetic sequencing and multiplex PCR, to see which finds the cause faster and more accurately. About 153 adults with suspected infections will take part. The goal is to help doctors choose the right treatment sooner.
