First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to find and treat the damaged heart areas that cause a dangerous fast heartbeat called ventricular tachycardia (VT). The procedure uses a special mapping method to guide a catheter that heats and removes the problem tissue. Researchers will enroll 77 adults with heart disease and an implanted defibrillator to see if this approach reduces VT episodes over 12 months.
