Tube feeding study pulled before it began

NCT ID NCT01536782

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study was designed to find the best way to give tube feedings to people with head and neck cancer who are also getting chemotherapy and radiation. It planned to compare three methods—bolus, gravity drip, and a feeding pump—to see which one helped patients maintain weight and tolerate feedings best. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
