Eye ultrasound tracks brain pressure during obesity surgery
NCT ID NCT07662538
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Sep 11, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study used ultrasound to measure the optic nerve sheath (the lining around the eye nerve) in 56 adults having laparoscopic bariatric surgery. The goal was to see how brain pressure changes during surgery due to gas inflation and body positioning. No drug or treatment was tested; it was purely observational to gather knowledge.
