First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding buprenorphine-naloxone to the standard extended-release naltrexone shot helps people with opioid use disorder stay in treatment longer and reduce cravings. About 180 adults aged 18–65 who want to prevent relapse will receive either the combination or a placebo for 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if more people complete all six naltrexone injections with the added medication.
