First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compared opioid-free anesthesia (using dexmedetomidine and lidocaine) with standard opioid anesthesia in 86 adults undergoing brain tumor removal. The goal was to see if the opioid-free approach could better control blood pressure during stressful moments of surgery. Researchers also looked at brain relaxation and surgeon satisfaction.
