Heart stent pushed to the limit in new safety study
NCT ID NCT05340361
First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a drug-coated heart stent can be expanded more than its normal size to treat tricky blockages in arteries. 30 adults with coronary artery disease will have the stent placed and then checked with a special camera to see if it stays safe and effective. The goal is to find the best way to use stents for tapered or long blockages without causing damage.
