New pill shows promise for Tough-to-Treat blood cancers

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new daily pill, onvansertib, for people with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) or related blood cancers that have returned or stopped responding to standard therapies. The main goals are to find the safest dose and see if the drug can shrink or control the cancer. About 25 adults will take part in this Mayo Clinic study.
