New lupus pill ONTO1 enters human testing

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether a new drug, ONTO1, is safe and tolerable for people with lupus nephritis or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Researchers will also see if adding ONTO1 to standard lupus treatments can improve symptoms. The study enrolls 61 adults with active lupus who have not responded well to at least one standard therapy.
