First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study is testing an online version of a tablet-based assessment that asks children ages 3 to 7 to copy shapes on a touch screen. The goal is to see if this digital tool can quickly and automatically score prewriting skills, replacing slower, subjective paper tests. Researchers will compare results with standard assessments and surveys completed by caregivers. The study involves 1,000 children and aims to help educators and clinicians identify kids who may need early support.
