Can online asthma support groups ease your symptoms? UK trial investigates

Summary
This study is testing whether a doctor's recommendation to join an online asthma support community helps adults with troublesome asthma feel better. About 600 participants in the UK will be randomly assigned to either receive this digital social encouragement or usual care for 12 months. Researchers will measure changes in asthma symptoms, quality of life, and healthcare costs to see if the online peer support is helpful and cost-effective.
