Summary
This study tested whether online group therapy can help people with cybersex addiction or online sexual compulsivity. 86 adults took part and were assigned to group therapy, individual therapy, or a waiting list with no treatment. The therapy used cognitive behavioral techniques to teach coping strategies for controlling sexual impulses. Researchers tracked changes in behavior and symptoms over 12 weeks and up to a year after treatment.
