First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests two internet-based treatments for prolonged grief disorder, a condition where grief lasts a long time and causes distress. About 141 adults who meet the criteria for this disorder will try either a blend of online sessions with a therapist or a self-guided app with check-ins, compared to a waiting list. The goal is to see if these approaches reduce grief symptoms and improve well-being.
